a crush a day: one part humorous & two scoops opinionated

Humorous: Talking about FMILF (famous men I’d like to freak) while let my mind go wild (PG-13 most of the time).
Opinionated: Dispelling racially constructed and stereotypical ideas of the typical guys that an Ghanaian-Canadian (black woman/BW) is attracted to and/or attracts.
Policies: Real life crushes will only be discussed when they show teachable moments. Their identities will be hidden with a nickname. No one will be called out directly through their real name or anything of that nature.

162. self evident

Whenever I think of Korean actor/model Kim Jae Wook, I always think of Japan. With good reason since he was born in Korean but grew up in Japan until he was seven when he moved back. That is why he reminds me of some of my favourite Japanese actors since he has that build, long hair, and androgynous face kind of charm.

He is all man completely but his masculinity reminds me more of a Japanese man than of the Korean type. I can’t really explain what the differences are to non-Asian drama watchers because i can hardly put it into words myself.

It is a *feel* instead of an explanation.

But anyway, Wookie-oppa is another star from the thriller drama Bad Guy (which is finally going to be shown in new episodes next week).
Watch him in action.

  1. Omfg I love him so much o.0 i didn't know he was raised in Japan!

Oh and you are so right about the difference in um...attitude?( for lack of remembering a better word) in korean vs Japanese guys. Though depending on the man or the age group. The biggest difference tends to be along the younger actors. As they get older and more manlier, they both have an equal sex appeal you can indiscriminately feel ;3

(also I don't know when you comment back and I think I comment on too many a day to go back and remember which posts I commented on so sorry If I forget to reply back!)

  2. I love him. I loved him in Mary Stayed out all night with Jang Geun Suk (another cutie) and in Coffee Prince.

  3. you know I always thought I was the only one thinking that way. Whenever I see him too I keep thinking about japan also. Maybe it help that I first saw him in Coffee Prince and him playing a character(half japanese/half korean I believe) who was from japan and spoke japanese
