245. la veille du nouvel an

The true anniversary of my blog is January 1^th with this first post but I only celebrate by each hundred post shown in the 100^th and the 200th. However, last year I reflected on my year of men (especially for the end of the decade) so I will continue that tradition.

The main purpose of my blog is and always will be destroying stereotypes about who a black woman is suppose to like. However, even though “chronicles from Canada-land” is added on my banner while I was suppose to be gathering intelligence about guys from Canada...I was too busy being distracted by an Midwesterner American while getting into lots of trouble with various other internationals.

For two years, I feel like I’ve learned so much about myself but I am only now beginning to understand men.

I mean, I thought about how to improve the blog and what I was missing and that glared out at me. The sheer fact that I’ve been living the single girl life without any direction at all. So I made up a new hypnosis that goes with my blog goal as inspired by Marie Dates America. 

How many dates, snogs, relationships etc can a black woman with my taste in crushes have (while blogging about them) in one year?

I know so boring right? But nah, man, untold stories such as Red Lipstick & The Russian (just the title sounds amazing right?) 2010 showed me that I have the potential to get into a lot of sexy trouble. Here is my new Last Single Girl on Earth Tour direction/purpose getting into sexy trouble.

Go Soo! Korean male actor who is completely sweet faced and delicious! :) I would not mind having a lovely x-mas dinner with this man <3 He is just adorable!

As for the naughty one...I'm going to have to go with an old favourite who never seems to die with me; Dennis Joseph O'neil, otherwise known as Dennis Oh. :) Also an (Korean) actor but he's (half Asian and half white) and I could never resist unwrapping him underneath the Christmas tree <3

First things first...who I would play "nice" with...hmmm...that would be Sam Worthington. I think we can all agree that this guy is a cutie-pie. And after seeing him play Mr. Hero in the blockbuster movie Avatar, I wouldn't mind snuggling up with this guy:)

And my "naughty" choice...Will Demps! To be honest, it was a choice between him and Dwayne Johnson...but I'm pretty sure a lot of ladies will have Dwayne as their pick. I don't know...it's just something about Mr. Demps. It must be that dashing smile because everytime I see it I melt. Heck, I would've added a link where he is modeling without his shirt but I couldn't stop drooling...

Rounding up all the bachelors in one country and posting their contact information? I think this is the single greatest feature that Cosmopolitan magazine has made.

It just cuts out so much time wasting.

(Now I’m waiting for a Canadian magazine to do the same! Get on that!)

With my own picking of a crush from all of the states (hours upon hours of searching) I went from Wisconsin to Dorothy being blown away to  Kansas but then I ended up in Missouri then traveled to Nebraska.

I pick Forrest from Nebraska, though he’s not the hottest of the men (but then again he is wearing clothing in his picture) I couldn’t get him out of my mind. I think he seems the most adorkable.

Okay, instead of me gushing over him, let’s review his stats:

I don’t want to give away too much information about the show but I was researching for the site and found out that he might be in an IR pairing in the show... I shall say no more. Just watch him in action yourself.

240. the veteran

I talked about the Emancipation of Asian Men and how they were declaring themselves in a past post. But I’ve been thinking for a long time…even if other men are just finding their voices to express how much they love black women…white men have been swirling for a long time.

They are the veterans of IR.

Thinking about this fact during the past days, I wondered why there is/was so much speculation about whether white men like black women or not. Yes, some don’t. But the ones who do are everywhere and have *always* been there declaring themselves.

One of the first (and few) male blogs I follow was about a White Guy from Sweden who loves black women… and yet, I fall into the same trap as well since I had been all scared by friends about racism in Europe even though we are all going to go and visit a friend in Sweden and I’ll be having a vacation to Germany.

Why is there so much speculation about whether or not white men like black when they are Vets? Yes, some white men don’t like black women. But we don’t see them. They might as well be gay for all we care because that is how we roll on ‘a crush a day.’

Stop asking. Seriously.

He in your face smiling *ALL THE TIME*? Asking you A-Z about your life? Asking you out on dates?

Dinner is not hanging out people.

If in 2010 we were suppose to be declaring ourselves I want that to stop when it comes to white men. They do. There is a tag on my blog for white men that I don’t have for any other men it says ‘white guy who do.’ I think I should change it to non-racist white guys just do! I am tempted but I need to stay a little politically correct somehow. 

Stop asking your veterans—they do!

And to the Vets, I salute you. Continue doing what you have been for the past (insert number) many years.
