I think that people don’t understand when they hear that a
black woman is open to dating interracial or outside of her culture. Like they
hear the words but they don’t think that anyone is actually serious about what
they are saying.
I’m beginning to realize this because of a reality crush
situation with a friend who is essentially blocking me from meeting her
boyfriend’s guy friends. We have talked about dating before. She knows the
kinds of guys that I like. What she didn’t figure is that the guy would be
interested as well. Ladies, if you have this kind of situation where a girl is
use to having you play the “best friend movie role” and then all out a sudden
when you have your own boy situations she gets testy then please stand up!
This is my IR Dating Vault secret: the fact that a
friend (who can be black or from a different race as you) finds out that you
are open to dating interracially and then is okay...until she actually sees you
dating guys from other cultures and those guys being attracted to you. You are not
dreaming, ladies, this actually happens between friendships.
Here is my open-ended question: What is your IR Vault Dating
Vault secret? Basically what have you discovered through dating IR that no one
really has spoken about online?

I cant sign in because I don't have an account or a blog. But anyways, just thought I would throw in my little experience about the same thing which happened to me. I am a black girl who dates interracial.I have a female friend(Asian) who knew I was interested in interracial dating, anyways, she didn't seem to care UNTIL I started dating a half white half Asian boy from her country. Boy did I shake things up, she kept commenting how ugly he was (he wasn't) and how he was this and that and making snide remarks. Long after we broke up was when she mentioned prior to me dating him, she was attracted to him too. That's when it hit me that she was hating all along. After that relationship, she is constantly cock blocking every Asian guy who shows interest. When I pointed out a guy I was interested she quickly said " Don't waste your time, he doesn't date black girls." So yeah, I know where you are coming from, but don't let these girls bring you down, in fact be even more bold just to piss them off haha.
ReplyDeleteMY IR DATING VAULT SECRET WHICH HAPPENNED EXACTLY A YEAR AGO... The Day I met my now-amazing boyfriend there was a huge brawl that occured. What happenned exactly? Not Sure but I knew it had to b pure-ignorance and hate. One particular girl that was a friend of his took it upon herself to start the fight and have me thrown out (I guess it turn out that she(white girl) was trying to set him up with another girlfriend of hers(white girl)) But instead my Boyfriend(white guy) was way more interested and involved with ME(Black girl).
ReplyDeleteNow to the good part... so next week she will b hosting a super-bowl party and has invited My Boyfriend and I. I reaallly dont want to go... cuz I dont like her to this day and I dont like being fake about it & pretending were buddy buddy (which she does put up an act). Anyways My BF wants to go, I dont but most likely will because I fear that if I dont go with him this girl might use it to her advantage and try to set him up... Blantly I think this girl might push one of her Blondie girlfriends at my BOYFRIEND. I trust him but its the girls that I dont trust (nope not one bit).
I had to comment on this. I was living with two roommates (one white and one black). The white one and I used to hang around the same group of people, so many of the events we would attend together. One evening there was a get together at a friend's house and many white guys were there. The majority of the guys were openly flirting with me and giving me lots of attention. I just kicked back and enjoyed being a hottie lol. Well, ever since that night my white roommate stopped communicating to me when and where events took place. I simply kept doing me. However, sometimes I would overhear her talking on the phone about the night she had and many of those nights involved people that we both normally hung out with. I had expressed to one of the girls (white as well) that I felt left out and missed hanging out with them. Well she claimed she and the rest of the group always asked about me and wondered where I was. Apparently my roommate was always making excuses and saying I was busy, when in reality I was never informed about a meet-up or get together at all. My gut feeling is that all the white girls in the group were jealous of me and the attention I received from all men, especially white men. I couldn't readily prove it, but looking back, they became insecure too many times when a random white guy would compliment me or do nice things for me. I had experienced jealousy from white girls since my days at university, but boy does it get annoying lol. I do not communicate with anyone from the group and am happy to no longer live with that roommate.

ReplyDeleteI am glad to see this story because there are many who subconsciously (or otherwise) try and block IR relationship...We can identify this behavior in negative remarks "Will he ever take you home to meet Momma?", backhanded compliments and as the author mention, "cordoning off" certain friends/associations...When this would happen to me, I made it up in my mind to find resources who would not hinder these dating choices...
